Media professionals from Europe and Asia participate in the "Carol I" Central University Library in Bucharest at the "Media and Culture Days" conference, organized by Radio Romania.

The event aims to bring back into focus the mission of public media as a cultural engine.

Ahmed Nadeem, secretary general of the Asia-Pacific Radio TV Union, co-organizer of the conference, spoke about how culture can empower public media institutions.

Ahmed Nadeem: Sharing the cultural diversity of ABU - Asia-Pacific Association members means exchanging ideas on media and culture these days. There is no magic formula, but each strives to promote culture, diversity and cultural excellence to create communities and shared ideas.
