In continuation of the measures aimed at reducing budget waste, the Government proposed to adopt tomorrow a new emergency ordinance on how public money is spent in the last months of the year at central and local level.

Through these measures, the Executive intends to keep the budget deficit under control, so that Romania is not in danger of losing European money, as stated by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

"Tomorrow, in the government meeting, I will adopt a new emergency ordinance regarding budget expenditures both at central and local levels. If we take these measures there is no risk of blocking European funds. This is the biggest stake I have had since the beginning of the term and still have", Marcel Ciolacu.

Marcel Ciolacu specified that the deficit target remains the assumed 4.4 percent, but if it cannot be reached, then the deficit must be 5.5, maximum 5.7 percent of GDP.
