Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced that the budget project will be passed by the government this week, and will be voted on in parliament by Christmas.

The head of the government announced a 5% salary increase for the entire budget system, except for dignitaries, and some ministries will have substantial allocations.

Marcel Ciolacu stated that the focus will be on investments and larger amounts will be allocated for several institutions:

"We are going to a percentage of 7.3% on investments. It is the largest investment budget in Romania's history. We have a historic education budget of 4.1%, so a 60% increase in the education budget. We also have an increase at the Ministry of Health, almost 26%, and at the Ministry of Transport 30%. There is also an increase at the Health Center", he said.

The Prime Minister specified that the salaries of budget workers will increase next year by 5%, except for dignitaries, and that they will continue discussions with teachers regarding salary increases. The government proposes two increases, one from January with 13% and another from August, with 7%.

Marcel Ciolacu assured that the amounts for pension increases are provided in the budget for next year. Gathered in the meeting, the liberals asked the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos, to ensure the financing for the ongoing projects through the "Anghel Saligny" Program.

The leader of PNL, Nicolae Ciuca: It is about the works that have already started and contracts which have been signed. Last year, and this year, there were a whole series of events at the Ministry of Development and in the territory, in the counties, where contracts were signed both through the NRRP and through the projects from the National Investment Company, as well as "Anghel Saligny" and, of course, there are part of these dedicated funds for co-financing. There is the premise to get stuck.
