The first social clinic in the country was inaugurated in Iasi.
The unit offers free medical services to disadvantaged people, especially mothers and children. The project was initiated by the missionary priest Dan Damaschin, through the Association Glasul Vietii, which he coordinates.
"The beneficiaries of this centre will be poor mothers with many children or single mothers, young pregnant women, students from the campus next to us, because we are in the 'Tudor Vladimirescu' Campus, and of course the homeless or, rather, children from foster homes who have no solution to their medical problems at the moment" - Dan Damaschin
"Veronica Clinic" has 42 medical offices in the fields of cardiology, gynaecology, paediatrics, dentistry, as well as state-of-the-art medical equipment, including an MRI machine and a computer tomograph, worth over two million euros. The entire investment is close to five million euros and was made entirely from donations, says Radio Romania Iasi.
